Castle of Zafiropoulos

On the hilltop Nisi of Paralio Astros stands the sleepless guard Argos Bay the Castle of Zafiropoulos, sentinel of Myrtoon sea and mountain Parnon, the flagship of the district.

The Wall of "Aeginitans"

At the entrance of Paralio Astros someone coming from Argos and at the football field, if you look carefully at the high cliffs above the small church (cemetery), will see the remains of the wall of "Aeginitans".

In 431 BC persecuted by the island of Aegina settled in Thyreatis and 424 BC build the "Sea Wall", the peninsula of Paralio Astros.

Linoi (wine press)

The place «Linoi» is located 1.3 kilometers from the Paralio Astros, the name comes from -Linos- (wine press). The wine press is permanently build or portable wooden tank, used for pressing grapes and extract their juice.

The Lighthouse of Paralio Astros

The lighthouse of Paralio Astros founded in 1893 and belongs to the Lighthouse Department of the Greek Navy, it is a square stone building and historic monument.

Archaeological Museum of Astros

Just 4 km from the Paralio Astros , taking the road towards the Astros will find the Archeological Museum, located downtown, housed in the School of Karitsiotis.

Paliochano (old inn)

Located 4 km northwest of Paralio Astros just below the junction of the roads (Argos-Leonidio) - (Paralio Astros-Argos) beside the beach is a stone building that has loopholes on all sides.

The "Portes" (doors) of Lake Moustos

South of Paralio Astros and just 1 km you meet the "Portes" is the old mouth of Lake Moustos (currently inactive). This is a work of the Otto period around the 1840's.

The wetland of Moustos

The wetland of Moustos is located 5.5 km from the Paralio Astros on road going to the Leonidio is largest and most important wetland area. Located in the center of the bay of Astros, behind the sandy beach. It includes two lakes, Lake Moustos and a smaller Lake Cheronissi.

Archaeological site of the Villa of Herodes Atticus

One of the major monuments of Arcadia is the Villa of Herodes Atticus in Eva Kato Doliana Arkadia, near the monastery Loukous which in antiquity was the temple of Asklipiadis Polemokrati. Eva was an ancient city of Arkadia from the currently scant remnants.

Located 8.5 km from the Paralio Astros on the road towards Tripoli, meet the Monastery Loukous, a beautiful monastery, near the ruins of the Villa of Herodes Atticus, has come to be called "Moni Loukous ".
